About Kolodge
Kolodge Behavioral Health grew from something deeply personal.
I am a BCBA and social worker, but long before I had those credentials, I was a mother trying to understand how to help my own children. I am raising two children with Level 3 autism, including a son with profound autism, and that experience has shaped nearly every part of who I am as a clinician.
I know the fear behind an elopement. I know what it means when your child cannot tell you what is wrong. I know the exhaustion of constantly anticipating danger, the weight of worrying about the future, and the frustration of sitting across from professionals who may understand autism clinically but do not understand what it means to live it every day.
I didn’t build Kolodge because I wanted to own an ABA practice. I built it because I know what families with complex needs are carrying — and I believe they deserve extraordinary care.
My Why
There is a difference between knowing about profound autism and living alongside it.
My children taught me that the goals that matter most aren’t always the ones that look impressive on paper. Sometimes success is being able to communicate pain. To tolerate something necessary. To stay safe. To regulate enough to participate in everyday life. To gain one skill that makes an entire family’s day a little easier.
They also taught me how much families carry quietly.
I have been the mother searching for answers, advocating when something wasn’t right, worrying about safety, wondering what adulthood would look like, and hoping the person working with my child understood how much was riding on the care they provided.
That is why Kolodge exists.
I wanted to create the kind of service I would trust with my own children — thoughtful, highly skilled, deeply individualized, and never complacent about the responsibility we have to the people we serve.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide highly individualized, relationship-centered care that creates meaningful and lasting change for individuals with complex support needs and their families. We prioritize the outcomes that matter most in everyday life — safety, regulation, communication, independence, and reducing caregiver burden so families have greater capacity to live beyond the demands of caregiving. Grounded in both clinical expertise and lived experience, Kolodge reflects my deepest commitment: to provide the thoughtful, compassionate, exceptional care I have always wanted for my own family.
